I’m recording a reading of A Greek Boy at Home and I can’t help but notice what seems to be a pretty obvious grammar errors in ΙΙΙΓ:
On line 11:
τὀ δ᾽ αὐτὸ ποιοῦμεν καὶ ἡμᾶς
I’m sure the last word can only be ἡμεῖς, but want to check if I’m missing something obvious here…
I agree. Unfortunately it escaped also Anne Mahoney
this is clearly incorrect (I don’t remember if I have corrected it in my recording), but it could also mean “we do the same to ourselves” if one considers the word αὐτούς omitted after the ἡμᾶς. But not a good option within this context…
