Hey everyone, two questions:
(1) The gender of the complement is determined by the gender of the (implied, known from context) subject, right?, e.g.
“You (man) are strong” = συ ει ισχυρος
“You all (men) are strong” = uμεις εστε ισχυροι
“You (woman) are strong” = συ ει ισχυρα
“You all (women) are strong” = uμεις εστε ισχυραι
I’m thinking it’s analogous to:
Man speaking: εγω ειμι ισχυρος
Woman speaking: εγω ειμι ισχυρα
(2) In the future, how can I confirm or disconfirm this on my own? e.g. try to find the phrase in a concordance?
Many thanks!
