Hi, everyone.
What is the Latin word or phrase for a “full moon?” I know of ‘lunae plenae’, but are there any others?
Thanks for your time.

there is plenilunium -ii, but it is post-augustan.
could be said “luna grandis”, perhaps.
I could swear that I have seen “luna plena” somewhere, because I remember thinking that that must be where our expression “full moon” comes from. However, I could not give you the reference, so I may be making this up.
I am reminded of these lines from the Metamorphoses, X, 295-297:
coniugio, quod fecit, adest dea; iamque coactis
cornibus in plenum nouiens lunaribus orbem
illa Paphon genuit, de qua tenet insula nomen
Perhaps not luna plena but close
It’s luna piena in Italian; I don’t see why luna plena wouldn’t work fine.
luna plena is the normal way of saying it.
