I am just reading the second volume of Frater Felix Fabri’s “Evagatorium”. He and his fellow pilgrims are in Gaza and now make some final purchases for a journey through the desert. I was quite astounded by one specific item on their list…

I can’t say that that would have been my priority purchase.
