Salvete and Χαιρετε (I have absolutely no idea how to accent Greek words, but that’s for another thread)!
Just wanted to share this excellent site for reading and downloading hundreds of ancient Greek texts:
It’s called textcritical.net, and under “Library” you can search a database of 409 Greek texts in the original language, and 285 English translations. You can read any text online and make use of the Perseus morphology and lexicon tool by clicking on any word, or you can download an .epub or .mobi (Kindle file) of the text to read offline.
So far I’ve gotten the Odyssey, Antigone, Josephus’ Antiquities of the Jews and_Jewish War_, and Quintus of Smyrna’s Fall of Troy (also called ‘Posthomerica’, it’s a poem that bridges the gap between the end of the Iliad and beginning of the Odyssey) off it, and it works beautifully with good navigation and all.
Note for Kindle users: If you want to use the digital Middle Lidell dictionary (which you can get for free here: http://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=95381) or the complete Lidell-Scott (which you can buy for eight dollars here:http://www.amazon.com/Complete-Liddell-English-Lexicon-Inflections-ebook/dp/B0092K07BQ/ref=sr_1_sc_1?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1439488194&sr=1-1-spell&keywords=liddel+scott+jones) you may need to use Calibre to ‘re-convert’ your mobi files to mobi again in order for the dictionaries to recognize words you highlight in the texts.
