English-to-Greek Motto Translation Question

I’m working on trying to translate the motto for my fraternity chapter into Classical Greek for our crest, but I’m having issues considering that I’ve only been trained formally in Latin :laughing:

I’m hoping for a literal translation, and I’ve spoken with a friend but she can’t seem to figure out a translation for the word “Loyalty” and doesn’t have a G-E dictionary. Anybody want to give it a shot?

I think I’ve settled with a final translation as:

πίστις μήποτε ?χύθη

Is the verb a form of ἐκχέω? I’m just trying to figure out why you have μήποτε (which would make sense if it’s an imperative, but that wouldn’t be an exact translation) instead of ούποτε (used with indicatives). :slight_smile:
