Double consonants at the end of words

Hello,

It’s a known fact that a few words have a final double consonant, written as simple, but which true nature can be infered through metrics (they do appear double before a vowel) and linguistics,

So far, I know two cases:

  • es (from *es-si, shortened to ess)
  • hoc (nominative and accusative, from *hod-ce, shortened to hocc)

Do you know about other such cases?
