D'ooge download problems

Don’t know where else to put this so here’ll have to do, I guess. I’m trying to redownload D’ooge from textkit, but each time I do, I open the file and a message pops up saying that I need chinese characters installed, and apart from the title page, the pdf consists of 5.5 megabytes of blank pages.
I’ve used the D’ooge pdf from this site for quite awhile on my old computer, using the same pdf viewer(Foxit Reader), but on a Win98 system, while this computer is XP, and I can open other pdfs successfully, so it’s got to be a problem within the D’ooge file. I’ve deleted and redownloaded it several times, in case it was due to file corruption during download but no luck.

Any idea whats wrong? Has anyone else had similar problems? I’m certain the the problem isn’t that I DO need Chinese characters, unless I’ve somehow downloaded a Chinese version :unamused: .

Have you tried using Adobe Acrobat Reader to open the file?

I just downloaded D’Ooge’s Latin for Beginners, saved as a 5,703 KB file. It opens up fine using Adobe Acrobat Pro version 6.0 under Windows XP.

Have you tried using Adobe Acrobat Reader to open the file? If you don’t have it, you can download it from Adobe here.

Yes, I had it(Adobe) on CD and installed it earlier. Problem fixed, thanks  .
I don’t know why foxit suddenly decided to reject it after so long though. I’ll just use Adobe from now on.

I’m glad to hear you managed to open the file.
