Hello to everybody,

I just got interested in reading and translating the poem of Lucretius “De rerum natura”.

As everyone knows, a good commentary that enables you to leave all the small problems by side is needed.

Unfortunately, I haven’t found a text with a good commentary about it.

Does anybody has a clue about a website or a book that provides a little help - not just by chapters, but by verse - for translating “De rerum natura” ? Either in German or English language.

Here’s something by verse line in English but without commentary and the Loeb edition (by lines and with notes in English).

I used this:

W. E. Leonard and Smith Lucretius (University of Wisconsin Press 1942)

It’s a one-volume edition of the text with on-page commentaries.
