Attic Greek Verbs - My Summary In-Progress

I’m on Chapter 5 of Hansen & Quinn now and finding it difficult to remember Verb usage of Tense, Mood, Voice by English equivalents. That is, Present, Indicative, Active is “I verb”, Present, Optative, Active is “I wish I could verb”, Present, Subjunctive, Passive is “that I am verbed”, etc.

I would appreciate comments, corrections, suggestions on my summary to date:

“I verbed” is not present but past (aorist or imperfect).
More importantly, the difference between present and aorist subjunctive is aspectual, not temporal. So too with the optative.

Thanks for catching that - I fixed that Pres-Ind-Act to “I verb”, as I have in the linked sheet, where I use “free” (λύω) for forms, as is customary. I do indeed have no Time (temporal) qualifier for Subjunctive & Optative in the linked sheet - just Aspect.

No, your table still renders the tense difference in the subjunctive as representing time, not aspect (e.g. “that I free” for λύω vs. “that I had freed" for λύσω), and similarly in the optative. That’s wrong.
