Hello everyone,
I just got a nice, cheap, used copy of Athenaze, Book 1. I thought it was the 2nd edition (of which I have a PDF), but upon comparing this version to the 2nd edition, I found them to be different. I apparently have the revised edition (this is the one with the pail-green color picturing ancient Greek temples: here’s a link to it for a picture).
It seems like the 2nd edition has way more content and information (it’s 100 pages longer). Am I okay with the revised edition, or do should I / do I need to get the 2nd edition (I’m not getting the 3rd edition because it’s too expensive)? If I’m just missing out on a bit longer grammar explanations and a little bit more Greek to work with, that’s too bad but I can just get that from the PDF. However, if the revised edition is substantially worse than the 2nd edition, I may want to get the real 2nd edition.
One more question: Is the revised edition compatible with the workbook to the second edition?
Thoughts?
