Artificium Excidium

I can’t believe how few resources for Latin the internet contains, so with that in mind, I am ecstatic that I found this website.

First, please allow me to give you a little background on myself & my “problem”. I am a 28 year old artist, that is working on some comic strips, & hopefully in a year or two, animations. I am not a latin student. Although I find latin to be one of the most beautiful languages, I am very short on time to put much focus on it.

I have been contemplating the name for my artistic “productions”, & I would really like to use two words in latin to constitute my productions. I first decided upon (in english) the two words I wanted to use in latin translation. These two words define my grandiose, pipe-dreamed plans. The words are “art” & “overthrow”. In a sentence it would be described as “overthrowing art” or “art overthrown”.

I researched using a latin dictionary provided online by Notre Dame University, & the Google Translate web app. I noticed how latin words can have multiple meanings, as well as multiple words with the same meaning. So I chose what I felt were the best latin words I could find that defined the words “art” & “overthrow”, as well as being in my opinion the most aesthetically pleasing. Below is the latin words & the definitions according to Notre Dame.

Artificium [occupation, craft, art], [the theory, system of an art], [work of art], [cleverness, skill, cunning]

Excidium [overthrow, destruction]

I would like for the wording order to be “Artificium Excidium”, as in “art (world) overthrown”. My only problem is that I have no idea if written in that order if that grammer & spelling would be correct. For example, I have seen that it is possible it would be written “Artificii Excidium”, which would (according to my research) translate into “the destruction of the craft”. This to me seems more accurate as under the same research, “Artificium Excidium” translated into “skill of the destruction of”, which doesn’t sound grammatically correct at all.

My question is if anyone here knows which wording would be correct, because I would really like to be sure & not look stupid using latin improperly.

Many thanks to anyone that can share some insight on this for me.

I don’t mean to bump my thread folks, but after some more research I think I may have found the proper form of the latin to use.

Artificii Excidium

Which upon my research “translates” as “the destruction of the craft”.

Am I correct in my research in this form usage of the two latin words ?
