Amabo te idiom

Does the idiom amabo te for please in Wheelock Chapter 1 remain in the singular even when addressing more than one person.

e.g. Vocate me, amabo te

or

vocate me, amabo vos?

I don’t think amabo vos was very common, if at all used. However, just saying amabo is understood with the same meaning as “please”, both for singular and plural. I am fairly certain that it would be odd to use amabo te to address more than one individual though.
