That story is not in chapter 16 of Wheelock’s Latin 6th edition. The two stories in the chapter are “Juvenal Explains his Impulse to Satire” (Juvenal) and “On a Temperamental Friend” (Martial). I think you are probably refering to one of the books that are meant to accompany Wheelock’s?
