ὁ δ᾽ εἶπεν ὅτι οὐδὲν αὐτῶν δέοιτο Is this adverbial acc? coz usually this verb takes Gen

Isn’t οὐδὲν nominative neuter, subject of δέοιτο?

of course not, it is the object of deomai There is sort of rule that whenever a verb governs a case other than Acc, acc still can be used with it if it is neutral.

ὁ δ᾽ εἶπεν ὅτι οὐδὲν αὐτῶν δέοιτο “he said that he had no need of them”—ουδεν internal accusative, all perfectly unexceptional.
