Isn’t οὐδὲν nominative neuter, subject of δέοιτο?
of course not, it is the object of deomai There is sort of rule that whenever a verb governs a case other than Acc, acc still can be used with it if it is neutral.
ὁ δ᾽ εἶπεν ὅτι οὐδὲν αὐτῶν δέοιτο “he said that he had no need of them”—ουδεν internal accusative, all perfectly unexceptional.
