οὔτε οἰκειότερόν ἐστιν οὐδέν
He translates it as ‘dear’ : there is nothing more dear than home. Im afraid that is too bad as translation and it is worth noting that here οἰκεῖος might be a philosophical technical term indicating that to which one tends by his nature.
