I am using a variety of generative linguistic tools to explore ancient Aegean languages with a focus on Mycenaean Greek and the Linear B script. The work is combining experimental computational linguistics and AI to test the boundaries of this ancient recordkeeping systems. My Mycenaean Epic Fragments project involves rescripting Homeric and Epic Cycle texts into an earlier form as stories from Mycenaean Greece written in syllabograms.
