I’m not suggesting this, I insist on it. Hitler was insane, but not so insane as to believe he would actually conquer the whole world. That is a caricature. He wanted the old German territories and an influential dominance over Europe, especially in the East, no more.

You sure give history a twist in Hitler’s favour. His nationalistic pride was so severely hurt after WW1 that he lived for retaliation. He may not have thought that he could have conquer the whole world, I don’t know, but he certainly wanted Germany to be THE world power. Insisting that he invaded other countries because he felt them to be a threat is almost funny.

I only know what he wanted in Europe. I don’t know about the whole world. But even if he did want to be the superpower of the world, who doesn’t want that for his/her country?
