What happens when you combine a vampire story, misunderstood monster reformed by kind people, a town in West Virginia, Oedipus Rex, a bit of Christian gospel, and make it a musical? You get Bat Boy : The Musical. I’m not too much of a musical fan, but this musical is definitely a different thing altogether, and I see why it was so popular. And it was at a theatre within walking distance of my home, which is a refreshing change from the usual transporation hassles associated with my theatre-watching habit.
Is that a musical about the thing from the Weekly World News?
Indeed.
