I just took a look at the contest page. Well whadya know, the contest ends at noon Eastern Time tomorrow, Wednesday Oct 1st. (it’s still today for another 10 minutes or so ).
You guys are an impatient bunch! :
So it looks like the contest is still open and you can sign up if you haven’t yet already done so (here: http://www.textkit.com/100K-Contest.php). Jeff will notify winners by email on Thursday, and announce winners on Friday.

Leave work?? It’s almost 1AM here, time for me to head to bed…
Hmm, I’m always curious how noon belongs to pm(post meridiem=afternoon) and it’s always confusing. 12:00 pm sounds like 12 hours after (the) noon, which is midnight. ??? ;D
It confuses me, also. But you can’t very well say "12 hours a.m. (ante meridian, although I’m sure all of you already know that) because that would be 12 hours before noon…and we’re right back where we started! I think the question of whether noon is really midnight is probably a good one for the Academy-either that or a psycology novel.
I haven’t entered the contest yet…although there’s still time.
I should have just made the contest close at 1 PM to save the confusion. I’ll randomly select the two winners just after noon today and they’ll have 24 hours to reply to claim their prize.
So I should know by tomorrow who won and you’ll all just have to wait for the newsletter on Friday to find out!
If we used Military Time, there might be a little less confusion over which part of the day we’re referring to. ;D
I won! I won!
I wish…
