I got lazy in August with Latin and especially after high school started (that’s when I got my phone, and I’m not getting an crazy amount of homework, it’s just terrible time management) and haven’t progressed even one chapter of LLPSI for around a month, the chapter I stopped on was Cap.23 Cave Canem. I’m slow at understanding simple sentences and forgot a lot of vocabulary. I still don’t have a good grasp on the verb tenses introduced after cap.19 either.
How am I gonna rebuild my Latin after so many days? I don’t even know which chapter to go back to because I’m forgetting all the vocabulary.
Hey! I have been studying LLPSI for the past seven months almost daily and despite that I find myself often having a hard time in remembering certain vocabulary and concepts. I think the best remedy for you would be to re-do all the pensa starting from the first chapter and check with the answer sheet. Whenever you have a noticeable amount of errors, just have a read of that chapter and make sure you internalize the introduced concepts there and try the pensa of that chapter again and move on. That is what I plan to do when I feel like I have forgotten a significant amount of content from the past chapters.
I think once you start, it will just come back to you easily. It can’t be harder than learning the thing from scratch, right?
Also remember, even though the method is highly effective and fun, it is no magic and consistency is key in success.
Good luck!
