What does 'Δούρα Ευρωπός' mean?

The Hellenistic city in Syria called Δούρα Ευρωπός, what does the name mean?

The city was originally called just Ευρωπός after the place of birth of Seleucus I in Macedonia. Δούρα is not of Greek origin at all, but a common Assyrian place name (I believe “dura” means something like “walled” or “fortified”). At some point of history they just linked those two place names together.

I’ve seen it translated as “Fort Europos” in English texts.
