Virtual teacher for the self taught

The greatest thing missing for someone learning Latin on his own is the voice of a teacher. I came across an interesting resource, the Imperium Latin Course by Julian Morgan. He has available an MP3 which is downloaded for $10 in which he goes through all of the exercises in the 3 book course, translating and explaining the grammar of each sentence. The 3 books are available for free on the web-site as PDF’s. There’s also a helpful app which goes through the exercises, offering a translation of individual words with conjugations and declensions. I went quickly through books 2 and 3. My feeling is that, although the grammatical explanations in the books are not as clear and well ordered as, say, Wheelock’s, the MP3 offers
something I haven’t seen (or heard) in other grammar courses. As a Latin PGR (Perpetual Grammar Reviewer) I’ve been through many of them.

I have had a look at the material. Not bad but unfortunately no macrons which means you are stuck with puella (N) and puella (Abl.) - not especially helpful for beginners. The MP3 files are a most welcome addition and a snip at £7.20 (UK) covering all 3 books (which are a free PDF download).
