Verb books

Which one is better Barron’s 501 Latin Verbs or The big gold book of latin verbs: 555 verbs?

well, one has 54 more verbs than the other.

I have the 501 book and no complaints–though I haven’t used it too much.

HA!

I also have the 501 book and I also have no complaints…however, I don’t think I’ve used it more than once. Latin has very few irregular verbs, and most decent grammar books give them all…you may have everything you need already in the back of one of your own.

I once bought a copy of “Latin Verb Drills” by Richard Pryor (NOT the comedian). It’s very inexpensive and simple, and it’s a great way to quiz yourself on your conjugal ( :open_mouth: ) knowledge. It explains verb conjugations in a simple way and has tons of exercises to make sure you understand the patterns (all answers are in the back of the book). I’d take a look at something like this first…simply because it’s better to keep the conjugation tables in the head instead of on the bookshelf.

Best,
Chris
