Using Pharr4th to Write Paradigms

So, I’m at Lesson 3 in Pharr4th, where one learns of 1A eta-stem declensions, with βουλή used in 9b as the example. Using the Greek-English Vocabulary at the back, I find: βουλή, ῆς, ἡ (plan, council)

This looks like the 1A Singular nom./voc., gen., dat. endings in the 9b table.

Looking at another eta-stem word in the Lesson 2 word list on p. 10, ψῡχή, I find in this GRK-ENG Vocab: ψῡχή, ῆς, ἡ (soul, spirit). Is this enough to tell me the Singular & Plural nom./voc., gen., dat., acc. forms are the same as βουλή, given they are both nouns?

I think what I’m trying to understand, is whether I should be able to write declensions for the Lesson 2 & 3 word lists yet, being at Lesson 3 of the book. Perhaps not?

I don’t have the book, but a glossary entry showing the nominative and genitive are intended to show that a noun is declined like other nouns with the same endings.

Mark

Thanks, Mark. That helps.

I think I misunderstood an assignment to decline the two word lists, when it was to decline those words in those lists identifiable as 1A feminine eta-stem words. Phew!! I thought I was missing something!
