I’m trying to create word frequency lists based on individual books of Homer’s works, not on a poem in its entirety or on the entire corpus. For example, I would like to create a frequency list of Book 1 of the Odyssey, that only looks at words within Book 1 of the Odyssey. After playing with The Chicago Homer a little bit, it seems like this should be possible with this tool, but I am just not using it correctly.
I think I may have been using the Within Line Range feature incorrectly (text: Odyssey; from: 1.1; through 1.440), because I received an “Internal Server Error” message. I don’t receive this message if I don’t use the within line range feature.
If this is the wrong tool for the job after all, I’d look forward to hearing your suggestions for another tool!
