I am having trouble translating some of this phrase from Greek,
“τοῦτον τὸν τρόπον τήν τε πόλιν ἀσφαλῶς οἰκήσομεν καὶ τὰ περὶ τὸν βίον
πλούσιοι γενησόμεθα καὶ περὶ τῶν κοινῶν πραγμάτων τὴν αὐτὴν γνώμην ἀεὶ
ἕξομεν.”
So far I have this rough translation,
“In this matter we will. dwell both safely in the city and concerning life we will become wealthy and we will always have this opinion concerning common things.”
What bothers me is the “τὰ.” It looks like a neuter plural nominative or accusative definite article, but I do not know what to place it with. Is it the article for " περὶ τὸν βίον"?

Not “this opinion”. The αὐτὴν is sandwiched between the article and the noun, which means something special, if you look up αὐτός.

Imagine that it’s followed by “πράγματα” or similar. The whole things acts as an accusative modifying πλούσιοι. It answers the question “in what are they (will they be) wealthy”? In τὰ περὶ τὸν βίον.

“ concerning the things of life we will become wealthy” is an example of translationese always aim to write good idiomatic English. It wouldn’t have required much to reorder this sentence. We will become rich in the material things of life. Or something like it. (literally with respect to the material things concerning life…)
