Hi, in the following sentence I’dont understand why the adjective magnus is in genitive, can anyone explain me?
“Homo magni iudicii esse debebit orator”
My translation would be: The orator should be a great man for the judge.
Thanks.

The adjective agrees in number, gender, and case with the noun it refers to:
_magni iudici_i, and not homo magnus.
Also the noun is iudicium not iudex. Give it another try.
Thanks, bedwere. Then it’d be:
The orator should be a man of great judgment.
