I only know a little koine, been working mostly on Latin.
Could someone translate this for me ??

Ηλίθια κατσίκια αυτές τις μέρες. Δεν έχουν καμία ηθική εργασίας!

Where did this come from? I’d guess it’s Modern Greek. It isn’t like any Koine I know.

It is modern Greek (but I can’t speak modern Greek and I don’t understand very well…)

Ηλίθια stupid
κατσίκια kids (young goat) or goats
αυτές these (fém)
τις (article plural fem. accusative)
μέρες days
.
Δεν not
έχουν they have got
καμία not any
ηθική morality
εργασίας! work (sing. gen.)

I understand :
“The kids (or “the goats”) are stupid nowadays. They have got no morality at work !”
or “no doctrine about working” (?)

A calque on “work ethic” perhaps?

Oh, yes, it is likely ! I didn’t know this phrase.
