ἐπεί

Can epei have the meaning of ‘therefore’, for it seems like that in Crat 414c: ἐπεὶ ἐν τῷ ‘κατόπτρῳ’ οὐ δοκεῖ σοι ἄτοπον εἶναι τὸ ἐμβεβλῆσθαι τὸ ῥῶ? I am not sure I can find this meaning in LS, but Bailly and the Greek- Russian dictionaries have it.

II. of Sequence in thought, i.e. Consequence or Inference, then, therefore, ξεῖνʼ, ἐπεὶ ἂρ δὴ ἔ. .. μενεαίνεις Od.17.185, cf. Il.15.49, 18.357; οὐ σύ γʼ ἔ. Τυδέος ἔκγονός ἐσσι 5.812; rarely at the beginning, ἔπειθʼ ἑλοῦ γε θάτερα S.El.345.
