Thucydides 1.95.5 πρός τινα, ἰδίᾳ

1.95.5.

ἐλθὼν δὲ ἐς Λακεδαίμονα τῶν μὲν ἰδίᾳ πρός τινα ἀδικημάτων ηὐθύνθη, τὰ
δὲ μέγιστα ἀπολύεται μὴ ἀδικεῖν: κατηγορεῖτο δὲ αὐτοῦ οὐχ ἥκιστα
μηδισμὸς καὶ ἐδόκει σαφέστατον εἶναι.

I’m especially concerned with this clause:

ἐλθὼν δὲ ἐς Λακεδαίμονα τῶν μὲν ἰδίᾳ πρός τινα ἀδικημάτων ηὐθύνθη. . . .

And here is my translation.

Returning to Lacedaemon, he was called to account for
wrongs he committed against some persons[πρός τινα] in his private
affairs[ἰδίᾳ]. . . .

Yes that’s right Hugh, except that πρός τινα is singular. (That’s the reading of the main manuscripts; others have τινας pl.). ιδιᾳ in a private capacity as opposed to a public one. ευθυναι were really an Athenian process not a Spartan one.
