I would like to announce the opening of my website along with the first program I have created, the noun paradigm generator. By simple specifying the principle parts, the generator will construct the entire declension in all forms (and yes, it does count syllables to account for the genitive pl. 3rd declension):
Noun Paradigm Generator:

Home page:

Hopefully this will be useful for someone out there. The next two projects are generators for adjectives and verbs. Comments are welcome.
The adjective generator is now open to public use.
Adjective Paradigm Generator:

Next up are verbs and a complete site redesign, in no particular order.
I’m sure that will be very handy for beginners. Are you going to add in the exceptions as well? If not, you may want to add a disclaimer. Anyways, great program!
Thanks!
The only exceptions programmed so far are those for the nouns of the third declension gen plural (“ium” or “um”). There are some I need to do for adjectives before moving on to the verb generator, and after that I hope to go back and add more exception, reformat some code, etc. I think I may put in that disclaimer for now, though…
Once the generators are done, I can work on the database, which opens up a wide possibility of programs.
And finally, the moment you have all been waiting for, the Verb Generator!
http://www.thelatinproject.z-script.net/index.php?page=generator_verb
It should be able to handle any regular or deponent verb, but given the volume of variations I can’t promise perfection… yet.
Another update, long awaited but worth it.
I believe I have the database in the form I want it, so work on adding words to it now begins. If anyone wants to help me in the task, please contact me at “admin@thelatinproject.z-script.net” (might be a good review of vocabulary)! As soon as I get some words in I’ll open the database up to the public.
EDIT: browsing and searching of the database is now available, just not a whole lot there yet.
At the same time I am now adding alternative forms for nouns.
Finally, The Latin Project has gone open source. Anyone can download the programs, view the source, modify it, place the programs on your own php enabled server, etc. Check out http://sourceforge.net/projects/thelatinproject/.
