The Daily Thread - Saturday, 19 May 2007

Today will be a ridiculously busy day. Nevertheless, I hope to do some work towards all my usual goals:

Odyssey
Caesar
Latin prose comp
Greek/Latin verse comp

Sunday-Wednesday I shall be out of town on a business trip. I shan’t have computer access, but rest assured that I will be reading Latin and Greek in my every spare moment.

I admitt I’ve been out of the loop — dic mihi, what are these Daily Threads?

The daily thread is way for those of us who study classical language(s) on our own time to discipline ourselves into (hopefully) doing some study on as many days of the week as possible. Usually, we post our goals early in the day, and later post our results, but of course there is no mandatory format.

As for myself today, I will do a vocabulary and principle part review, and then move on to unit 14 of Mastronarde.

Optime.

Well, I did less than I planned: only the review, and reading from Morice’s Stories in Attic Greek. Today I will move on to unit 14.
