ME? I am reviewing the use of Greek participles on North and Hillard´s Prose Composition. And at night, I want to tranlate some Hyperides´ speech. 
On the agenda for today:
-Exercises for Mastronarde, unit 12.
-Start Mastronarde, unit 13.

As for participating in this thread: I see a use for a thread of this kind in a runner’s forum (see Klewlis’ original comparison). But there I have mostly seen people posting results, not intentions. And in posting results, for runners there is the possibility to objectively see progress or no progress. In the case of learning a language, that seems to me to be difficult. That’s why I do not participate here by posting the lines of the Iliad I wish to read on a given day. It would show no progress in my mastering of the language and personally I do not see it as a way of disciplining myself to actually read those lines.
True, it is not summer yet, but perhaps I had mentioned this because of the summer-like temperatures we have been having here recently in Montreal. Better weather is most usually an incentive for outdoor activities which leaves less time for other endeavours.
In our “daily thread” we have been posting both intentions and actual results. Perhaps this is overkill, although I myself always saw it as a way to measure how well I was planning and disciplining myself to carry out my stated goals. Obviously this is a personal appraisal of its usefulness, and maybe not everyone feels that posting both intentions and results are necessary, or that the results have any concrete meaning.
As a complete neophyte with respect to Attic Greek, this thread has been helpful for me to discipline myself to study after work, and, at least superficially, to measure my progress in study and exercises. Maybe other people feel differently, and that may be one of the causes of the thread’s recent population thinness.
Unfortunately I only completed the first part of my task (unit 12 exercises), but I did read the first 5 stories in Morice’s Stories in Attic Greek But I foolishly did not make flash cards for any new vocabulary. Next time.
Well, I have done what I said -including what concerns to Hyperides- and more, I am finishing the translation and my own edition of Archimedes by hand-writing.
By other side,I don´t know how to get my PC idiom configuration… I say it because I need always to put it in order going to Internet options, idiom settings, etc.
