I’m not sure how much I will get done today, but:
-minimum: review principle parts of unit 8 verbs.
-hopefully: start unit 8 exercises.
I’m sure I could get more done on the weekend, but we’ll see.
Today’s going to be busy. My only goal is to read as much I comfortably can of the Iliad during whatever free time I have.
I’m taking a Greek class (Hesiod and some Homeric Hymns). I need to work on a paper for the first time in more than a decade.
Don’t forget to double space! ![]()

Well, I did read some Iliad. Any day for which the preceding sentence holds true is a good day in my book.
Good for you! A little of the Iliad is better than none.
Today was a washout for me, although I did do some reading from Polybius’ Rise of the Roman Empire. (Not on my list but I did it anyway.)
Be back tomorrow to try again.

Finally have something to post about! lol
Finished Wheelock 11 (which I started a couple of days ago!) and also read four sections of CLC. Was going to do some greek too but was too lazy. I think I’ll go get some wine and potato chips and watch a movie (is that weird? lol)
Today I’ve struck out, but tomorrow I’ll resume. Overall, it’s been a good week, and this thread helped to motivate me. Klewlis, it was a great idea!
I’m glad it’s helping some of us keep motivated! I know I feel guilty when I have nothing to put in this thread, so that’s something! lol
Klewlis, it sounds like you are quite busy, and on top of that you are studying both Greek and Latin. My job hours are fairly standard, though at times things can heat up. I’ve just started Mastronarde, and so far the material is is straightforward. But this will change for me fairly soon, especially when I hit the optative, and perfects, both of which I know very, very little.
It was actually part of my agenda for yesterday to fight my usual Aoidoi LaTeX style into something more suited for college papers, mostly spacing and bibliographical twiddling.
I learned that you can set an option in Google Scholar which gives all search results a bibliography entry link for a number of standard biblio database formats (I’m using BibTeX). The results need to be checked, but it still saves a lot of typing.
