The Best Film Ever

Touche!

PeterD

P.S. Have you seen DDD?

I’m sorry I’ve never heard of ‘Debbie Does Dallas’. But Deep Impact wipes out Dallas so it’s better.

Currently Steven is plotting against me. I can feel it. You saw his choler Pete.

P.S. Have you seen DDD?

LOL ah what a movie! And NO I have not seen it but I’ve heard more than enough stories. :unamused:

My favorite movie would have to be “The Rocky Horror Picture” Show or “A Clockwork Orange” (avatar).

:open_mouth: Nobody voted for ‘The Sound of Music’?

Can I just point out that Deep Impact is the winner, the film having received the most votes!

It saddens me that people would rather say that I smell like eggs than vote for any of your estranged movies. At least I have the consolation that people would just as much prefer to call you a loser :stuck_out_tongue:

Who said that you ‘smell like eggs’?

Who’s the ‘loser’?

I am puzzled. I thought this thread was about movies.

Peter

P.S. Deep Impact? Ah shucks, I voted for the wrong movie. I thought it was Deep Throat. Where is my mind?!

Peter, take a look at the last choice in the poll.

Maybe people who didn’t know what it meant voted for that, like people who don’t know Latin, but thought that they’d just vote for it, because it’s in Latin… uh… dunno really…

Thanks, Emma.

It is true. I, πῆτερ, do not know Latin.

I knew what it meant and voted for it anyway (sorry benissimus!). I did this because it was funny and none of the movie options were any good. I don’t really think he smells like eggs.

I think that it was the masterful order of words that attracted people to the Latin even though it oddly insulted a moderator.

If I may, who is Steven, Episcopus?

It always happens. Every time I visit my parents I display gluttenous eating habits. Like this evening, I just had 4 slices of my mom’s delectable, homemade cake. My tummy hurts. :frowning: Vraiment, je suis cochon! It’s a good thing I have a metabolism of a Formula 1 racecar.

Take care.

Peter

Steven = Benissimus

I’m glad that people didn’t understand what it means… if you understand that the Episcopos is the subject of the sentence (as it is supposed to be) it takes on a whole other meaning…

Now I know. The horror, the horror…:open_mouth:

While I loved Home Alone 2 as much as the next guy…

Actually, that’s my grandson’s favorite movie (he’s 9)

As for me…I can only narrow it to about 3…

Mystery Men…I never stop laughing when I watch it :stuck_out_tongue:
A River Runs Through It…combines faith and fishing, two things I’m quite passionate about
Christmas Vacation…more one liners per square inch than any other movie I’ve ever seen.

Yes, I’m a goofball, and I love a good laugh.

Was Raya just simply not cool enough to be included there or what? (I kid, I kid…)

The results of this poll are really interesting, though…

You call these choices classics?
What about great actors like Sidney Poitier, or the movies were cheesy lines arn’t used to express an emotion, it is seen in the acting of cast?

P.S. LOTR Return of the King was slightly depressing after having read the book. I wanted to see the Dunedain.
