studying

I am interested in hearing your study tips, strategies ect, for a newbie. Any advice on how to improve my studying
would be greatly appreciated.

A little every day. Seems obvious but it is much better than a lot once a week.

Hey Bert,
I study by copying down the original text, writing a translation and then doing it again. And of course reading and re-reading until I
understand everything.

I think this part is the important part. If you understand it without translating it, don’t bother translating it. If you do have to translate it, keep doing what you are doing; reading and re-reading until you understand it in Greek.

After you do your regular studying – reading the lesson, doing the exercises, making and memorizing vocab and grammar flashcards – make up your own sentences, ones you can use around the house, if possible. Write them down and practice them along with the rest of your memorization work.

I split mys studies up into three sections.

1.) Study of Greek Grammar
2.) Vocabulary practice (individual words)
3.) Read Read Read until you have it perfect.
