Hello All,
I’ve been busy busy busy since graduation. I’ve been working 50-60 hours per week, teaching at church every Sunday, running my ministry on Fridays, and trying to take care of the infamous honey-do list around the house.
Needless to say, I haven’t had much time to stop by and say hello to all my friends at Textkit. So I thought I’d say hello, and pop in and comment on a couple of links.
I was jsut accepted into a Masters program at our Seminary, and I am hoping to wrap up a Masters in Biblical Studes in the next three semesters (they have an advanced track, and since I’ve had all the Greek and Hebrew they offer, I was a shoe in for it). Then…hopefully, I will simply get on the other side of the desk. I want to start out as an adjunct prof and then see if I can get into a Ph.D program and slowly work toward that degree while I am teaching. If I can get accepted into a program, I should be able to get a full time tenured spot on staff.
Other than that…my flowers are beautiful right now, and today I hiked into a high mountain lake and fly fished for a while (we all got skunked though), but it was incredibly beautiful. The greatest thing was…you couldn’t hear anything. We were miles and miles up a rough four wheel drive road, and then about a half mile straight up (and I mean straight up…my thighs are me) a canyon wall until we hit the lake. It was quite a workout, but definitely worth the view. Here’s a shot of the lake:

and here is a shot of the terrain on the way out…notice the smiley face on the hill on the left…we thought it was pretty cool. Parts of this forest were logged about 50-60 years ago, but most of it is old growth. It is in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest.
