Well, I’m starting an Ancient Languages and Cultures club at my college. So far, it seems like it’ll be really great.
The problem I have is that I cannot find a good name for it.
I have:
Past Times and Lost Rhymes
The Tongues of Old
Dead Letters.
The first is too long, and the others may make prospective members turn away… Does anybody have any suggestions?
How about The Latin Lovers’ Lounge or The Greek Geeks’ Guild? 
Perhaps those names are too long, as well. Maybe you should opt for a Greek or Latin name - that is what the club is about, after all…
how about just call it what it is:
CLASSICS CLUB
Well, I don’t want it to be just classical languages, but others, more ancient and more modern, as well. I’m thinking it should probably range from Sumerian to Old English/Norse. (Although those last two may be considered ‘old’ rather than ‘ancient’)
Literary Tongues.
I tend to call Greek, Latin, etc. literary rather than “dead” languages, because their use keeps going even when the native speakers start to speak something else. Even much (if not most) of documented Sumarian was written by non-native speakers using it as we use Latin and Greek. Now, this leaves out OE and ON, but we still study these to read the literature.

How about “Timeless Words” ?
How about Linguapalooza?
Didn’t think so It’s all I could come up with that isn’t overly stuffy, sorry. That and Glottarama, but that’s even worse.
If might be a little long but I do like “Past Times and Lost Rhymes.”
(Especially if you focus would be the poetic part of the languages.)
You can take one syllable of and make it “Past Times - Lost Rhymes.”
I think “Lost Rhymes” would be a good enough name in itself.
