At one time there was a spyware removal program that was free for home use. Is there still such a thing?

Im am using Spybot, by far the best ever produced. It’s free available.

I commonly see recommendations to use both adaware and spybot – both are free (though adaware also has other versions you can buy) and rumors are that each will get some things that the other won’t. I use each periodically, but I’m not nearly as diligent about it as I should be.

Thanks guys. I don’t know why but all of a sudden my computer was bogged down with all sorts of pop ups and garbage.
I downloaded Spybot; It found 69 problems but was “only” able to remove 68. Then I downloaded Adaware; It found and removed 1.
Working with the computer now is like breathing a breath of fresh air.
