SBL 2007 Anyone?

I know this is probably a long shot…but is anyone here planning on attending SBL (Society of Biblical Literature) in San Diego this year? I will be there at the Accordance booth, demoing software for the Mac. I’d love to say hello to any textkittens that might be there.

Yes, I’ll be there, Matt.

Too cool! The last one I was at nobody from Textkit went. Make sure and stop by booth 1017 and say hello. I look forward to seeing you!

A decent amount of my professors are going which has opened the opportunity for me to teach a couple Beginner Greek classes. I am pretty excited.

I will definitely do so, Kopio.

Good for you! I have been lucky enough to get to fill in on the same sort of occasion. It’s a lot of fun to teach the rookie greek classes.

Have fun!

I’ll be seeing you around then! I’ll have to show you our new DSS module…we also have a couple of other modules that are unique to our software (Like the Codex Sinaiticus MSS which I just finished in time for the show!). I’ll give you the full jet tour if you like!

Oh yeah…I forgot to mention our Vulgate with FULL morphology…that’s right the whole enchilada!

Now I’m suddenly saddened by my whereabouts, which, obviously enough, is nowhere near US.

Heh, not that I need to buy the Vulgate’s morphology - I was working on it myself.

Besides, it’s not that difficult to figure out what Jerome’s doing - even in the most difficult spots, you can usually find a Hebrew or Greek reason for the strange Latin.

I posted some personal thoughts on my blog. Kopio, are you back yet?

Yes, I am back. It was a wonderful show. I got to meet some very big name scholars and chat with them for quite some time. I’ll check out the blog and see what your two cents were.

It was also very nice to meet you. It is nice to put a face to the posts, and a very friendly face at that!
