Salvete & Χαίρετε

Salvete omnes!

I’m new here, so I want to introduce myself. With the goal of reading Seneca in the original, I started studying Latin using LLPSI. I love the method and am now close to the end of book 1 “Familia Romana”. Now I also started studying Ancient Greek a few days ago. After reading a great review of “Griechischer Lehrgang” by Günther Zuntz, I decided to give it a try. To those who have studied with the course: How do you go through the lessons? Right now, I only read the lessons aloud and copy them without much understanding. This feels unfamiliar to me after coming from “Familia Romana”.

Bene valete!

Χαῖρε!

Welcome, catominor. I’m pretty new myself, but I’m also about to start working with Zuntz. How far have you come?

I am only at chapter 2. Reciting correctly is still difficult for me, but I notice that I am getting better. Audio for the course would help me a lot, as it did in Familia Romana, but I didn’t find any.

I’m not aware of any recordings of the text. But with time, this will get better, I’m sure. If you want to discuss the lessons (having some experience with Greek, I’m going to start with lesson 3 very soon) the board might be a good place.
