Salvete, amici

If my Latin studies were a person they would be old enough to drive (in the US). Yet, even after all that time, I cannot read with any confidence. (To be fair, I haven’t continuously studied Latin for 21+ years.) I have been intrigued to discover that this is perhaps not uncommon, and I am quite excited now to pursue better methods. After even a couple of months of following a (primarily) comprehensible input approach I am surprised at my ability to get some of Martial on the first try and to feel like I’m getting the gist of the Aeneid (before it was an incomprehensible wall of words).

Beyond reading everyday, I am now listening to more Latin and will begin a brief course (immo vero colloquium) in conversational Latin.

I hope soon to begin Ancient Greek, but want to make sure I have the time to devote to it…

Gaudeo expectans discendum scientiamque partiendum nobiscum!

(Corrections always more than welcome.)
