I’ve just noticed something. If a post contains a Latin word that contains the letters c-u-n-t, as many Latin words do, the word gets omitted from the post altogether. Major problem in the Agora I think.
Yes, this is somewhat annoying. Previously, it would just scramble the ending, but now the whole word disappears. Fortunately there are some ways around this… e.g. replacing u with v (dicunt → dicvnt), inserting a punctuation mark (dicunt → dic.unt), or accenting a word (dicunt → dicúnt). There is a way to circumvent the filtre altogether, which some clever people might discover, but if I revealed that it would negate the filtre’s purpose altogether
This sort of thing must really annoy the inhabitants of Scựnthorpe!
I believe the inhabitants of Penistone, Yorkshire, have a similar annoyance.
I live in Sussex, and even we have occasional difficulties.
Which reminds me of the following urls:
- these were at one time genuine, but probably not now!
Don’t forget:
I’ll fix that.
