Can the relative pronound be used as a relative adjective as it is in Latin?
usually the relative pronoun “hos” is used as a simple pronoun. when the antecedent shows up in the relative clause (i.e. when “hos” is acting like an adjective), this is called “incorporation” (see smyth 2536). smyth gives the example: “ei estin, hen su proteron eleges areten, alethes” (if the virtue which you were speaking of before is real). in my experience, incorporation occurs fairly often.
