At this page, there are examples of Deponent Verbs given.
My question is that for the examples given, right after the example there were +eis +acc. or +infinitive and so on…
Does that mean the examples given are not already in Middle Voice and have to have their ends tinkered with? After a paragraph saying that said verbs are already in Middle Voice?
How do I interpret those?
so the first verb is ἀφικνέομαι which is a middle form as are all the verbs which come after it.
ἀφικνέομαι means I arrive. ἀφικνέομαι plus εἰς plus acc means I arrive at. It just shows how the verb can be used with a preposition. With for without a preposition the form of the verb is middle.
The next verb is βούλομαι. this can be used with infinitive. The infinitive has no effect on the middle form of the verb.
Deponent verbs have the form of the middle voice. Its much simpler than you imagine.
