I don’t know if you all have noticed, but there have been little random question marks scattered throughout the forum pages. They’re just from the way the code was copied at one point. I’ve been trying to get rid of them all, but may have missed some… so if you see any, let me know! 
I used to see them, but I don’t know. It has something to do with unicode - you don’t have the unicode characters on your computer that it’s trying to render.
I used to see random rectangles, not question marks.
At any rate they are gone.
Now that I think of it, I have been seeing less of the question marks, or the black diamonds they sometimes show up as for me, but there’s still a couple in the login box at the bottom of the main forum page – after the boxes where you type in your name and password and after the checkbox.
I’m not sure why, but if I switch my browser’s encoding from unicode to western, they disappear and everything looks fine.
but in this case it isn’t trying to render anything–it’s just blank space.
