Just wondering: is it permissable to pronounce the iota subscript?
Also, not being the most computer literature person in the world, I still need help with this font problem. I’ve been pointed in the right direction, I think, have been unable to find the right options to make the problem go away.

If you’re aiming at a pronunciation suitable to 5th century Attic, then you should pronounce the iota.
I believe that alpha with iota suscript was the first of the subscripted letters to be monophthonged (in the 300s BC, if I recall correctly). Allen’s Vox Graeca has a neat chart of all the vowel changes listed according to when they happened.
Well I’ve never heard you pronounce it, and I carry a large stick with me for just such occaisions 
I have never pronounced it when reading…but would that be because I’m a Koine guy? Did they pronounce it in the A.D.?

They didn’t, but many of the more traditional textbooks of ancient Greek — Attic or Koine — say not to pronounce the iota.
I also have not been struck down - and it is a very good way of remembering that it is there when trying to learn vocabulary. My fear of my lecturer’s red pen noting the missing iota subscripts outweighs any of Kopio’s threats!
