Interested in seeing what grammar is most prevelant among this community of Latin students.
In order of dependitude and refertuiance:
D’Ooge (all grammars and readers)
Oxford Grammar
Wheelock
Henle Grammar
Moreland & Fleischer
Latin’s Not So Tough, by Karen Mohs (fuer meine Kinder)
Dooge’s latin for beginners (still working through the third declension at the moment).
I have browsed through some of adler’s grammar briefly in conjunction with the latinum podcasts.
On the topic of reading material, I have been using:
Iuli Caesari de bello galico
Titi Livi ab urbe condita
Though I must confess they are a little beyond my skills at present. Still, they do provide a source of vocabulary.
A note on the poll itself. I think the scope is quite limited with the current choices. It appears most people are using grammars other than the ones presented.
I just found D’Ooge’s Colloquia Latina, what fun. A very nice change of pace, and a great way to pick up everyday vocabulary.
