I thought it would be amusing to quote a line from the Rolling Stones. I would not say that I am a man of wealth, but certainly a man of taste. I am a retired teacher with a love of languages. For many years I taught French Immersion. In university I took French, German, Greek, Hebrew and a very little bit of Latin. At the time, my primary interest was in Biblical languages. I studied a bit of Plato’s Republic and some of Homer’s Iliad in the original. Then, I neglected my classical studies for forty years. Now that I am semi-retired, I finally have the time to enjoy my literary pursuits and dust off my Greek and Latin. I am very thankful for the textkit community.
